Check out Ebay, that's were I found mine. Go to auto parts & type in Mini Cooper in the search field they usually have 24 or so pages of parts to look at.

well i hate e-bay so that's out for me.
the one that came with my car is a weird shape it's not round it's kinda eliptical.... ugly. i want a nice round shape the doesn't stick way way out from the front of the car like the one i presently have.
any thoughts?????

The folding one from E bay is very nice but the red color will fade in a few weeks. Use your OE tow hook and coat in red Plastidip - Looks real cool, won't fade and is fairly resistant to rock chips. Plastidip in sold at most hardware stores in red, yellow, and black.

Ebay is where the bling hooks come from, the OEM one while its not a cricle is one that you can actually use structurally. Might want to check bimmer forums to see if they have any leads (can't remember which models threading we match). I painted mine orange, I've never thought it to look weird.

Found a link in another thrad after searching to a vendor here: http://store.autotecknic.com/bmwmporatowh.html

And my hook, spray painted.

Glad I could help, they are out of stock with the red but I don't see why you couldn't get the silver disassemble plasticoat and reassemble it for a similar look from a few inches out. That one is supposed to be track reaady so you can tow the cars weight on that hook unlike the eBay variety.
