Thoughts on ORIENTATION of roof graphic...
I'm being a little picky about this. I found a poster that I want to convert to a roof graphic. The poster I picked is one that is intended to see from the side of the Mini. So one one side it will be right side up, on the other side of the Mini it would appear upside down.
The other option that I have seen poeple have is a face or an image that is meant to be seen either from the front of the Mini or behind it. So it's a vertical image.
Do you guys think the vertical image looks a lot better than a sideways image? Or am I making more of this than there needs to be?
Any comments would be great.

I am fond of the vertical myself. I think the horizontal is just odd looking, unless it is totally something abstract that can be view either way from passenger side or driver side. If you do go with horizontal, I would recommend it facing the driver side. Just my 2 cents.
Here is my Cooper Flag custom design. They do great work!

I say drivers side! I mean, there will ALWAYS be a driver, right? If the passenger sees it and wants a better look they can just walk around. Mine have been vertical and I put the bottom of the design most near the windscreen. i was going to do a horizontal one and it was going to be on the passenger side, but it was because of the design of the graphic, it would have looked dumb. I guess it is up to you man.

Depends on the graphic but my opinion, in decending order:
1 - vertical orientation
2 - driver's side orientation (horizontal)
3 - passenger's side orientation (horizontal)
4 - any other odd options
You'll make the right choice...look long and hard at the graphic and see if you want the whole thing or only a part. A best-choice will present itself if you think it through.

This is exactly the reason I changed my mind on the Australian flag I was going to get as a roof graphic. Something "directional" really isn't to my taste. To get an idea of the difference, compare a US flag roof with a UJ roof. Aside from the nationalistic preferences, which one LOOKS better on the car? I think most people would agree on the UJ, largely because of the symmetry.
Just my 2c.

I don't HATE America exactly. It'll never be "home", but I wouldn't want to live in England either. 6 months was plenty.
If you want to replace where I said "US flag" with "Aussie flag", my point is still the same. I prefer the aesthetic of the symmetrical UJ. Which I would never put on my car, coz I get enough people thinking I'm English without making it more confuzing.

See, Agro brought up exactly what I'm talking about. But that's symmetry all around with the UJ flag. The whole point is that the car is relatively small, and many larger cars are driving around you, whether it's a semi, a bus, a pickup, whatever. I want it to look good no matter what direction. That being said, this is the image. It's my favorite band. The white part would be the color of my car...Dark Silver. 2 colors on this image...that's it!

Really? So just fit the heads within the sunroof space so anyone standing behind the car will see the faces right side up? I wonder if it would look too small. I felt like this was going to be the perfect graphic to fill the sunroof. Hmmm, may need to look a little bit more.

Can you get more of the image (like, include the tops of their heads)? Change the orientation from landscape to portrait, and Robert's your father's brother.
The images I've seen with the image looking correct when viewed from the back of the car are IMO the best looking of the non-symmetrical ones. There is a new SCMC member (Cruze) with an awesome Jack Skellington on his roof. Looks amazing.
Then there's these from the Cooperflags site:
