OR

They have replaced my heated seat element and airbag sensor, neither job I got to see get done though, but I've watched just about every other repair.

I wish that I could see the bottom of a removed seat. I'm confident in my abilities to do this, but i'm just worried about proprietary tools. Do you think that this may be the case?
I guess the real questions is, would YOU try doing this?

I would but I have torx- 10-30 screw drivers, 5-40 on a allen key type stup and 15-50 on a socket setup, everytthing is basiacally torx screws.

When I upgrade to racing seats (someday) I plan on strippout ot the stock heating elements and installing them in the race seats. But that is months away at a minimmum.

Okay, I think that I'll do it. I'll take a helluva lot of pictures so that people can follow suit.

Worst case scenario, I have to reinstall my stock seats.

I'm just looking at those pictures of your seat again. There are 4 connections there. I know of the airbag, seatbelt and sensor, but what would the other one be?

The seats I would be getting have heated seats. Being in LA though, I may not use it much.

I used mine in Daytona, you know soften up the back (leatherette in my case) when you hit 50. Also real good on road trips, keeps your back muscles loose and you feel more relaxed when you arrive at your destination.

Well, if I get this whole setup working, I wouldn't be complaining about a warm back side.

I found an interesting article about someone doing the seat switch. It has a few pictures of the weight sensor. It doesn't look so tough now.
