... is that an engine or a space craft? .. looks cool... wich one do you prefer?

I liked the looks of the allroad bay better, but got rid of the allroad last year for a more economical commuter. I moved and increased my commute by 4 times,....as well as the size of our house by 3 times The allroad was a GREAT car, as long as it was under warranty. I will always have the MINI, that is why it stays as clean as it was the day I got it.
Here's mine, taken just after I had the JCW Sound Kit installed. I have yellow plug wires, Forge alloy caps on all tanks, the Forge alloy radiator overflow tank, M7 strut tower plates, chrome caps in the strut tower holes, chrome caps on the spark plug boots, MINI eyes from miniswag.com and a red MINI wings dipstick.
Wow, nice bay 03Indigo. Same with cycleguru. That's what customizing is all about... Here is mine, still a work in progress and have a few more things to come a bit more chrome and need to get rid of that ugly yellow coolant reservoir.
Nothing custom on the engine ITSELF, but I do have an LED strip in there and some cathodes. The LEDs double as a supercharger scoop light when the bonnet is down:
Nice Mini bee, where did you get the forged coolant tank?
Thanks! I got the Forge alloy tank from My MINI. All the alloy caps are from there too. They are also available at Titan Motorsports.
The overflow tank needed some modifications to make it work in a Cooper. Nothing major, just some different tubing and clamps to make it work. I also plan to add the power steering fluid tank at some point.

thats some pretty sweet stuff. i considered the idea of internal led bars, but what about under-the-hood temps? any concerns there?
Nope... there's so much air flow in there that they're cool to the touch, even right after shutting off the engine following spirited driving. The cathode bars behind the front pumper plate are siliconed to a pair of 3" closed-cell foam blocks (to space and cushion them), and then I secured theentire assembly to the bumper plate with zip-ties. I can shoot a daytime shot if that's unclear...
