Dash covers will come next! We have the armrest covers available for now:
So far available only for 05+ (armrests are bigger than previous models), but we're hoping to have templates for the earlier year models soon!
You can of course customize them in any way you want, just as with our shift boots. We can use quadruple stitching, put a stripe down the center of the armrest - whatever is needed.
The price is $80 for BOTH. Discounts available if you get our shift boots together with these. There is a pricing table on the bottom of this page:
http://www.redlinegoods.com/MINIarmrest.shtm
Installation is quite easy but you need glue or a staple gun:

Please feel free to share your thoughts on this.

I'd also be happy to test. I have a BRG MCS with Antrocite tubes and the screw-on cup holder.
Thanks,
Richard

Are there any plans to offer a leather wrap for the grab handle in stead of the armrest? That would match the downtubes very nicely

Pretty sharp there, Twister ! I like the red stitching you selected to match the seats and cocomats.
Of course, our tastes do seem to be similar... I have the same floor mats and I'm getting ready to add the chrome around the mirror adjusters and on the dividers between the toggles (thanks for letting me see what they'll look like when I'm done).

They processed my order quickly and shipped the samples quickly, but the shipping e-mail did warn that in might take 7-10 days to actually reach me.
(and I won't know until the samples arrive whether or not they actually put some orange stitching on the leather sample for me.)

That's because there isn't one yet. Part of the deal for getting it 50% off is that you are supposed to give Redline Goods a writeup on what you think about the product, and instructions.
If you can wait a few days, my downtube covers should be coming on Tuesday and I will be writing installation instructions as well since I already know how to take the downtubes out.

Twister,
What I am curious about is how well the leather sits at the bottom and slides into the base of the dash for the downtubes.
If you look in my gallery you will see (and I know you saw them at the dragon) that I covered my downtubes but during the first try the leather bunched until I learned that I needed to wrap the leather completely up into the tiube so that it didn't bunch up.
Can you show a close up of that area?
I have actually done my armrests as well and that is a time consuming process but not hard. Now the only problem is that I am almost out of material and trying to match is almost impossible so I am thinking of having Maciek make me a new set of boots, tube covers, armrests and then sell me a bunch of matching material.
thanks!

@skitelluride531: you are actually getting stripes, remember? not piping. I'm hoping the fact that Twister is in NC and you and TX is the reason, both your kits shipped the same day!
Also, the deal with the 50% off was only for the select 3 people. Hopper was one of the other 2 who got a deal because they wanted a full set of boots together with the downtubes. So he doesn't qualify for the 50% discount in exchange for the pics and the write-up.
@CustomAV: it doesn't slide into the bottom holders at all. It's trimmed just below their top edge. It would be much too thick to go in there. It's held with strips of velcro which is facing the front of the car, so is not visible. The top part where one side of the column is cut, the leather is sewn so that it grabs the very top edges of the taller half of the column.
Not hard to install at all, you just have to remove the downtubes by taking out the two screws visible on the sides of them.
@TWISTER: Mark, THANK YOU! Cool pics!

Okay, it's starting to make some sense now. I found a link elsewhere that documents removal of the downtubes, so that's not a problem. Are the downtube covers pre-trimmed to length or is that something (trimming the bottom at the bottom holder) that is done upon installation?
Thanks,
Hopper

It is a little bit more complicated than that in the 05/06 model, but no worries as I have removed mine several times so can pretty much do it with my eyes closed . I will be sure to get you lots of nice pics for a writeup.

Umm...yea, I am beginning to think these are not going to work in the 05 / 06 MINIs. I just tried to install them and, well, am having a very hard time. I am going to give it another shot later on tonight.
Maciek: Did you base the template for these off of an 02-04 downtube? I am just curious because the design of the downtubes changed in the 05-06 models.
