White edge trim anyone?

Has anyone tried painting the black edge trim white?

I have a CR/W MCS and would love to see what this looks like prior to going ahead with a total Red White look, removing as much of the black as possible.

I've only seen this on the Works MINI Challenge cars:

You might check out these car for ideas. Some pretty cool graphic treatments.

In this case I think it works because it is part of a complete graphics package where a lot of white has been added to the body work. Not sure it would look so hot with just white trim.

I'm also adding a lot of white in the form of Checkers along each side along with White Monza wheels, so it SHOULD?? work. If not, all I've wasted is time. I intend to buy new trim BEFORE I start.

Thanks ImagoX. At first glance the stripes look odd because I am so used to my solid stripes but I think I like it. The tapering off at the end compliments my checker. I have been wanting to do something other than the standard bonnet stripes & trying to avoid doing checkered stripes because I think that would be to much.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack Roadsailer, carry on

What might look cool, bamatt, is to start with a black and white checkered stripe down by the grill for the first 8 inches or so and then, as the stripe moves up the bonnet towards the glass, have the black checkers, "fall apart" randomly into a solid white strips w/ black pinstripe (like you have) in the last foot or so. That way the checkered pattern is pulled into the front of the car, but with some variation so it isn't monotonous.
