Trying to decide between 2 driving Lights probably Hella ff200 mounted off the Grille in the traditional manner or a Light Bar. And then if I go with the Lightbar; is it the expensive Palo Uber (who have been very attentive) or a used Alta or should I wait for M7. Any advise or thoughts or comments, etc? TIA MIchael
If you want driving lights, then mount them on the upper grill. Fog lights belong down low. I have the FF200 fogs on Out Motoring brackets. I chose these brackets due to the fact that there is no drilling required for the mounting bases. They are very sturdy.
I have the lower grill brackets from Out Motoring. They just recently came out with upper grill one's as well. HERE'S the link to my install. As I said earlier, fog lights should be mounted on the lower grill.

What he said.
If you mount fogs on the bonnet, you defeat the purpose of the fogs and most likely are in violation of your states lighting laws (if you care) because they are supposed to be no higher than 18" from the ground.
OK so fogs on a light bar... But can Driving lights go on a light bar or do they have to be up high on the top of the bonnet, ie if I get 4 lights on a light bar, can 2 be fog and 2 be driving, or is that verbotten? TIA Michael

Technically and legally, no. That doesn't mean people dont put them their but the HIGHER the better. Again, check your state laws but driving lights are usually supposed to be HIGHER than 18".
If you put driving lights down low, its the same idea with the fogs, the light pattern will not be optimized.
