hi bbt4,
i've never had any problem with scrapping? which part of your car has the problem?
i've been using kw variant 2 coilovers for 5 months now.....i'd hv to say that it's perfect......and i do recall you can keep it at the stock height.....i may be wrong but your car will definitely "jump" less and you'll hv a firmer ride than stock setup.

btw, your car looks great....how bout soome aero grille to replace the stock ones...???

SMG,

like you, the aero grille is also a must on my list.
as for the coilover, i have not doubt that they are the best suspension that $$$ can buy. but i still think they're not ideal for street use. i'm will be getting set of coilover (along with a set of 16" rims and super sticky "R" compound tires) in the not too distant future, but they will be for track use only. for the street, i think i'm going to leave my suspension stock or get a set of progressive (stock height) springs if they're available. besides, coilover in the states will cost at least $1300 to $1900 (a little too much for monthly mods).

I noticed from the photo of your MCS that you have the black front grills installed, the upper one in the hood, the loweer one at the bottom of the bumper and the skinny one in the upper portion of the front bumper.
How did you install the skinny one in the upper portion of the front bumper, the dealer told me it would only fit Mini's with the Aero package, I don't have the Aero package and if I see your phot correctly you don't have the Aero package either. Any tips you could would be appreciated. Thanks!

it has been discussed in quiet a few post in the mini2 forum (not sure about here)
here is 1 of the post about it :
http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...p;pagenumber=1

there was another post which shows excatly how to fit it. i just coudlnt find it..
hope it helps.
also i think that the EB/W woudl look better with the side skirt and etc in black...
buecase it create more contrast to the car.
but different people have different taste..
now add the rear diffuser to this car..
and maybe change the grill to black 1s.
it would look really nice.
i think i will get mine done like this as well
btw.
those colour wheels looks pretty nice on a EB cooper S.
make it look more aggressive i think.
i might want to see wat bronze would look like tho..
since the white (still stock) wheels look a bit too typical and boring.

i agree with this quote. i one of thos who dislike a uniform (in color) mini.
every mini should be a little different.

yes!! stay away from typical and boring stuff.

i'll will do the black aero grille in the next week or two.
again, i will post some pics when i'm done.

SMG,
thanks for the heads-up.

yeah,
i'll do a search to find out exactly how to do it right.
i remember someone mentioning about a threat that shows how it's done.

update!!!!

alright,

i finally got the time to install the aero grill last night.
i also got a new set of rims (17"s) because i just can't stand the ride of those 18"s that i had on before.

so i have a set of 18"s for sale!

anyways, here are some pictures of the result.

(well wasn't brave enough to put those things on before i see a pics since i can't afford to not like them !!)
btw
just want to ask somethign about the rear diffuser..
is it meant to be in body colour right??
or is it something else? (i guess it should be in the body colour)
since i can't see a clear enough pics to identify that

BBT, not to be critical of your photo skills, can you get a shot of the nose of the car in the sunlight? I think the front end looks great.

Darksky,

my digi-cam is out for the time, but i do have a picture of the nose in the sunlight from before i put my aero grill on.

check out IMG_0390jpg @ http://www.geocities.com/bbt42003

hope that hit the spot for you.

DanscooperS,

it cost me a total of $700 (painted and mounted). it is pretty easy to intall, but be sure to use the metal plates and the nuts & bolts that comes with the lip (bolt the lip and the bumper together; if the outer screws come lose, the lip would still stay on because of the bolts).
