hello all,

any one know of any tuner working a CARBON FIBER front lip that look like the Harmann piece (or the one on SMG's mcs)? i like the Harmann front bumper lip but i don't want to paint the piece. i really like CARBON FIBER products, and i like to use it where ever i can (except my hood scoop). it would be nice if someone made a CARBON FIBER piece like Harmann's.

thanks guys,

MiniRyno,

that's what i was trying to find for a while but unfortunately, i couldn't find anything. anyone with any luck in the field? it's too late for me now; i ordered the Hamann piece already. this would be good for people who are in the market for exterior mods in the future.

I found the other thread about the Carbon fiber Lip Spoiler!

It's on page 8 of the performance mod section, titled "Japanese and Minis"

-The Japanese company is called NKB and their lip spoiler looks killer!!
-Does anyone know how to contact them or know of any domestic distributers?

MiniRyno

that looks pretty nice. how can you tell it's carbon fiber though?
i might just paint my Hamann front lip black when it comes in.

I don't know for sure if it's Carbon Fiber but it really looks like it is in the pictures.
I think you made a wise decision getting the Hamann cause I spoke to several Japanese aftermarket guys that haven't even heard of NKB Power.

MiniRyno,

i will post pics after i get it done. it should come in next monday or tuesday. i need help with the color though. i have an electric blue mcs (white top) with un-painted factor fender flares. now should i paint the harman front lip electric blue, or should i try to match the un-painted black portion of the front bumper? too bad there are no pics out there to help.

bbt4,
Do you plan on painting your fenders at some point?
If so, then it would look sleek if it was electric blue.
I like the look of the lip spoiler though,
so I would personally paint it matte black.
This way it will stand out regardless of the fender color!
also, you won't need to worry as much about touch up if it's
matte black.
cheers,

*just my opinion

have you seen SMG's?
his is painted DS...
i think body color looks sweet on it, too much black on the car already!

I think that you should go for e/b too, and you could always get the arches done at a later date. SMG, do you plan to paint your arches?? Does any one know if this is an expensive thing to do?

if i do the OEM aero package, then i'll paint the arches. otherwise i don't think so.
it's definitely EB or black.
i'll deside when it comes in.

What's the Diffuser?
Does the Hamann work with the Aero kit 'front bumper'?

bbt4,
With EB side skirts the Hamann will look better if it is also painted EB!

If you don't get side skirts then the bottom most portion of the car is black all the way around and I'd say continue the theme...

either way the Hamann looks great on the mini and you can't go wrong.

just my opinion!
