Union Jack sunroof decal (aka how friggin cheeky am I)

Well I just had to pick up the perforated Union Jack sunroof decal from Aesthetic Creations during their sale. I must say, installation was a pain. I didn't anticipate quite how hard it would be to to not only cut the decal (I used a razor) but to keep straight lines especially while cutting through holes so the blade couldn't sit flat (if you get what I'm saying).

After an hour and a half it was on! Here is a pick from the NEMINI Marcus Dairy run this morning in Danbury, CT.

After I got home the decal had been on for a day and I went back and trimmed the edges with a straight edge (another problem was the vinyl wasn't stuck on enough to trim right away). Cheers!

That looks really sharp! Does it block out alot of the light that would normally come through?

I should have taken an inside shot, because its perforated it doesn't block out a lot of light but does block a little. I could still see through it and see stars at night.

The backside of the decal that lays on the sunroof is actually colored black as well, so it doesn't stand out from inside the car when you look out.

And another nice thing, because its perforated and the color is only on the top most layer, you got some white showing (the sides of the perf holes) if you look at it very close to horizontal. It looks lighter and almost faded (which I like). All in all its very cool, I think I like it. I need to change the color of the wheels though.

I had (until last weekend) the Cooper Flags perforated UJ on my sunroof. I'd say that when the shade was pulled, the perforated decal blocked about 50% more of the light coming through compared to just the shade. If you are driving, though, and the sun is at 1:00, you're still gonna get sun right in your eye, just not quite as harsh.

Looks great, GrFa! If you get a lot of harsh sun, be sure to use some of the vinyl protectant now and then. The 303 stuff, iirc. I never used any, just wash-n-go. My decal was thoroughly baked after a couple years. I peeled it off last weekend. On to the next one!

Yep I need to pick up some 303 for the interior. I doubt the decal will last for 3 years though.

I've seen your wheels chromed and they look good! Chrome would match your mirror caps.
