Interior/Exterior The quest is finally over!!!!!

The quest is finally over!!!!!
I threw in the towel on trying to find red mirror caps!!!
I went ahead and painted them myself!!!
I must say, it came out WAY better than I thought it would, and was way easier too.
380 grit sand, white primer, 380 grit sand, 3 coats color, 3 coats clear, 1000 grit wet sand.... $$$$$$$$$$$$ !
The color is Krylon Banner red from Kragen. It matches MINI chili red damn good.
BTW... The wife hates it. She thinks this is bad... wait until I paint them neon yellow patterned after my favorite AMG DTM car!
She thinks she wont be seen it now......
I cant believe how well my plan is coming along for making the MINI "my daily driver"...

Looks pretty good. Not my color choice for that car, but you did a nice job and I have to admire your dedication to your goal.
So, brake calipers next ?
And I hate to sound negative, but what's with the wheels and tires ? They're so glossy, they appear as if made of plastic.

Nice job...I had mine painted a BMW red in 2003...sold it to a friend who now has it on his Indy Blue Mini...

Thanks for the props everybody!
The brake calipers are Bright red... It is just hard to see in the shadowed picture.
I like the Volks... But for the $$$$$, I love the TDR's. Even if $$$$ wasnt a factor I would still love the TDR's. They have always been one of my favorite wheels. Plus my wife just bought them for me....
MSFITOY thanks for the . I must say, ever since I even considered buying a MINI and got introduced to NAM (about 3 years)..... Your car has been by far my hands down favorite MINI in the entire World!!!! I waited months to find a silver one in hopes that someday it could look like yours. It is perfect. I will probably never match the performance of yours.... But I can be a MSFITOY poser!!!
FWIW... when your car had the M theme going on, it was the Hottest! I still have that picture of it in front of the fall trees as my desktop. Titled: Dream MINI....
Ahhhhh..... someday......

OOOHHHHHHH..... That is sick!!!!!
I love the red on the wheels....
The other thing that looks really cool is when you just do the TDR motorsport impressioned writing in red. A guy in Ventura around here has that on his CR with black TDR wheels MINI. It looks really good.
BTW, the wheels and tires look so shiny due to the car just being washed with a fresh coat of NXT wax on the wheels and NXT tire shine on the tires. It only stays like that for a couple hours. It looks pretty fresh though while its on...
Thanks for the photoshop work... Another thing to keep my up at night...
