It was right around $500 including shipping, plus the $15 "import tax".
I ordered it on a Friday, and Monday morning it arrived. I can't get
that kind of service mailing a letter from one end of town to the other.

I don't have any good pictures of the wing on my car - I am terrible about taking pictures. The only picture in my gallery that you can see it was taken in the "experimental" phase. This wing is adjustable and I was trying different settings in an attempt to find out if you could really tell the difference (you can). I ended up leaving it on a setting that tilts just slightly upward - much like in the picture:

Mini Cooper S Wing Mod

Well,

I've finally managed to finish the prototype and so far it has kept the rear screen clean.
I'll be trying some faster speed trials to see if it significantly affects the handling,
but at speeds up to 100kph no problem.

Do you have any close up pics? Is it a modified stock spoiler?

Yep .... all I did was to add a filler to raise the stock wing,
added a thin spoiler to direct airflow down over the screen.

the wing does not seem to mind being in cleaner air and the rear windscreen remains clean

I just think that by chaging the airflow around the car you are not only affecting Highway speed handling and gas mileage. With out proper testing you are more likely to do harm than good with any spoiler design.

They tested the old Pickup truck tailgate mtyh on MythBusters and discovered to you loose gas mileage with the bed open since there is no "Pocket of Air" to create a smooth flow over the vehicle. I feel that if tested these designs woudl produce similar results.

but that is me. and the Stock S spoiler protrudes too much for my Taste. So i am switching to a stock cooper spoiler. Anyone want my S spoiler????

My reasoning for doing this Mod was to reduce the cr*p that builds up on my
rear windshied. I've achieved that aim. Not being from the 'racer' school of
drivers I don't mind the compromise of lower MPG or less down force etc. etc. as long as I can still drive my MCS safely and with a clean screen I'm happy. My philosophy ... Who Dares Wins ... Who Don't Won't

This Mod would need A LOT of testing if it were to be able to claim anything at all. This post is for info only ... saying that, the feedback is MUCH appreciated .. Thanks
