Yeah, I've always wanted to put lights on the inside of my supercharger belt.

Damnit! I figured it would be at least a dozen posts before someone figured out my plan!
But actually... no, not so much.
PS -
THIS is the material...

Really?
Is there a reason they call you "nano"?

Some of us don't need a "big car" to make up for other shortcomings...

True dat, brother, true dat.
Can these lights be used to light the aisles and exits, like an airplane?

They say they can be used outside to line garden walks, so I'd have to say yes. I believe the word they used was "indestructable". These are the only LED strips I've ever seen that were both BLACK as well as designed for outdoor use. Pretty spiffy... And best of all, even for multiple sets, the power draw is <5A.
I love LEDs...

Will you be the first to make a tire out of HD LED strips?

What we really need are some LED bonnet stripes that spell out messages as you drive down the road - with a little control panel and one-button access to "handy" messages you might want to pass along to the car in front of you... (written backwards, of course)...
Now THOSE I would buy....
First guy to do it gets their own clinic at MOTD6...

Ugh... Heaven's forbid. One should NEVER be able to see the light source, just the resulting glow... At least, IMHO.
Not a bad guess, though.

Install around the jack points so I can see them at night... while trucks zoom at 80 mph inches from my stupid butt.

Angel eyes... but you already mentioned that light source shouldn't be visible, just the "visible glow"
How about glowing the engine compartment ala Audi R8?

I doubt it. If they were FAA approved we mere mortals wouldn't be able to afford them. The litigation factor jacks prices by 400 fold
Looking forward to seeing the project!

How about something like the R8 headlights
I'm calling puddlelights right now, but may change my vote as the thread progresses.

Maybe inside the door panel pockets...if that's what they're called. At least I've always thought that would be a cool place.
