http://www.europlates.com, or just Google euro plates and there are a bunch of sites that come up. Most will let you get custom plates and I used a euro plate mounting plate screwed into the factory holes to with some double sided tape to stop any thief that there might be. I'll try to get a pic of mine up tomorrow.

My wife ordered me one almost a month ago from Europlates for my birthday... several weeks later no plate and no replies to emails! She might have to get Paypal involved if they refuse to reply to her or ship soon. They had no problems charging her credit card like the following day after the order, but have not yet shipped (or of they have, they haven't let us know).
I'm not slamming Europlates, I'm just saying you might want to look someplace else if you want them before, say, the Dragon.

Here's mine:
It was "Real" when issued and I just left it on when I got Stateside
Mine came with a US front plate... "Adapter" Which basically looks like a black plastic box affixed to the front bumper. In daflake's pic it looks like he doesn't have one, but you can see on the Checkmate behind him (RudyT's??) how the front plate sits a couple of inches off of the front, that's what I'm referring to. I simply attached the EU plate holder to that.

Here's mine...
A lot of people were worried about the red on red, but I like it, and I think it flows well... Lots of compliments, too. So I'm happy. hehe.
Oh, and I got it from an online server that I don't think is available anymore; I believe they sold the company to europlates, which is where I got my dad's plate from... He opted the "original style" instead of major custom...
Both cars, just chillin'...
Take care, and good luck with what you decide.
Leo.
PS: Can't help you out on the "front plate state" issue since FL doesn't care... but show us what you come up with...

Euro plate from Portugal
I usually get one made every year when i go to Europe to vacation and visit the family (either Portugal or France). They are very cheap there. I paid 8 euros for this latest one pictured last august (less than 10 dollars!) and you can basically get whatever message you want on it. Takes them 2 minutes to do it, so you can wait for it and watch him stamp it out in the process. Best of all, just about any dealership in europe can do it for you, OR in my town in portugal you can even get them made fresh at the local supermarket! as well as spare keys made etc etc. Really cool!
I had mine mounted on the bumper for months, but since i recently got the aerokit installed, i put the plate in the lower right side windshield for now. Dont want to drill any holes in the bumper just yet

CORRECTION: My wife did NOT order from Europlates.com - she ended up ordering from europeanplates.com! I've been very unhappy with this merchant's customer service (read as: total lack of) and have posted a thread about my experience separate from this thread HERE.
Sorry if anything I said reflected negatively on europlates.com - my wife got the name wrong when I asked her where she ordered from. I've never used europlates.com and based on the positive things that people have said about them, I kinda wished I had.
