Orciari cowl scoops

Ok so I have done a search for these scoops to find out how everyone likes them and how much of a function they really apply. So far I have not had any luck in finding these answers. So please can someone tell me what type of performance you gain and how well overall you have liked them.

Also if there are any dislikes let me know.

Thanks, Chris.

Howdy Chris,
I have had these for about 2 years now. I don't know about performance gain but I love the fit and looks over the stock ones. I have never had a problem. As far as performance you would think it would help scoop the air in but at what speed and how much I don't know. There are a few guys here (I think Dr O) that have tested the pressure at these areas with stock vents. There are several threads somewhere on here about this topic. But for me, I bought them because they look great. I saw them at the Orciari factory when we got a tour. The Orciari brothers are very friendly and showed us everything they had at the time. They wouldn't let us leave until we saw the products on the Orciari Mini. After I saw the fit and how everything looked, I took the plunge. How that helps,

Frodo

Chris, I've had them for at least two years. Didn't notice an improvement in performance. I remember a post from Rallymini saying that they would probably work better if they faced the opposite way. Like a cowl induction on an older Chevelle. Rally even posted a pic of some scoops (i think from Japan) that makes them reverse.I agree with Rally I think they would do a better job of sucking in some cleam fresh air. But i do like the way mine look. Its all about the "BLING"don't you know.

Update, fyi I just "lost" one today. Don't think it flew off as I would have noticed it. I just came out of a store and saw it was missing. You might want to double check your attachments. BTW does anyone have a left scoop for sale? :p

Thanks, I forgot how good they looked until one was gone. Good thing I keep my stock ones. Oh well I guess I will call the Orciari bros again...

Functionally they should do ZERO. Very small opening and too low to grab air in that area. Having said that they are beautiful and look great.

Frodo

I had one fly off my car while driving. It was a very windy day in DC and I was driving over a bridge and the next thing I know I see a white thing fly off into the water. Sucks but I got another set

teck2, you wouldn't still have the other scoop *Frodo puts hands together and looks upward...* if so, is it the passenger side...and if so, do you want to sell or trade for something?
