JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
After seeing so many beautiful cars with the kit on it makes me wanna really get mine, my car doesnt come with rear fog lights, how do you go about and doing that? Does the kit come with the fog lights filled?

It should come with 2 reverse lights. Fog is an ad on option which swapsdrivers side reverse light out. There are aftermarket kits for the rear fog
I was talking about the two lower lights, my car doesnt have them and it seems you need to have them for the JCW kit.
You have no back up lights at all? The 2011's should have them in the stock lower bumper in the same spot, just different shaped. in 11 they moved them form the signal/brake housing to the bumper.
Onefish, thats a sharp set up. I just did my buildout on the mini site to see what it would look like. Pretty much what you have, but with the JCW rear spoiler and black rims.

Not a fan of the JCW spoiler in sliver or black. I wish that you could get the Challenge wing on our cars. That would really complete the race car look.
I guess the closest we will get is the M7 C Wing. Anybody have one or know somebody with one? If so post pics.

Seeing that JCW kit on this in Black and Red, makes me think that next year, just maybe I'll have to step up to that on mine. Looks great. By the way, your sig say..."sit down, hang on, hang tight" originally came in 1966 with the Dodge/Plymouth Hemi's.
Steve: How do you keep your car so clean all the time? I know that you've been having some weather back there, so how? Mine? Dirty as He**, and it looks like it won't get cleaned up today, either. Either it snows, freezing rain, city puts way too much salt solution down, or it warms up and everything turns to slush. Midnight Black & Red looks great when it's clean and the roads are decent, but right now......BAD. Oh by the way, still just love the JCW. I'm sure that I'm going to do some changes next summer, but right now, it's great. I'd thought about lowering the car, but there are several streets that have dips in them, that I think would be scrapers if I lowered the car much. Who knows. I still have my H&R Sport springs in the basement.
Its easy to keep it clean when it lives in the garage and I hardly drive it . That and I manage to take my pics after I have washed it or had it run through the car wash .
Like I have been telling you. Drive the car for a while and make small changes. I am sure the modding bug will bite you big time in the spring.
Cell phone pics from the dealer. I'll get some high quality shots up here later on. Its kinda tough to tell that this is actually Eclipse Gray. The lighting was pretty poor and there is a blueish hue to the photo.

biggripper: Boy, Born Dec 10 and just arrived Feb 2? Wow, even going to California that's a long time. Nice car, but needs black wheels. Just my opinion. Love the JCW kit.

The long wait is itself a long story. The funny thing about the black wheels I ordered it with black. I was recently looking for listings online of other eclipse gray JCWs (wanted to see reel world examples of the color). In my search I came across versions with the silver challenge spokes and a version with the black. I fell in love with the silver. I was starting to regret ordering the black wheels. Then my car arrived at the dealer with the silver ones. 'Twas fate I suppose
I am a huge fan of the black challenge spokes and I would say that MB JCWs absolutely REQUIRE them...IMHO. But for my Eclipse Gray I think the silver wheels look a bit sexier.
Me too, I love the JCW Aero look, but in no way can I justify $3K+ just for looks. My Lil Guy MSRP'd for $34,250. which in my estimation was enough. No NAV or Sunroof and didn't want them, either. As for the NAV, it would be nice, but then I'd be back at the dealership asking them how to do more than I already do.
Has anyone had issues with the heater in there 2011 Mini? I can't seem to get mine to warm up very fast and it's almost impossible to get the heat and defroster to work properly at the same time. The dealer showed me how to do this, but it doesn't kick out the side air defrosters like my old Miata did.
