Coilovers are like wine...you can buy cheap or expensive and everything in between. A decent set of coilovers is going to be $1000 and $2000 and you can even go to $3000. All of these are going to lower the car by an inch to 1.5 inches minimum. Ride will depend on the springs you get and how you set your shocks.

Bilsteins makes a great set: ~$1800
Or ohlin shocks for a little more.

Personally, I would stay with the JCW kit.

Thanks my man. I pulled the trigger, again, on the JCW kit. Even at $1,270.16 it still seems to be the way to go. When the site said "spring" it meant "2 springs" so the extra cost was only half as bad as it could have been.

Anyone know around how many hours of labor it is to install, not including the RSB?

Will keep you all posted on impressions.

Thanks for all the help!

Phantasms, somehow I immediately saw that you were not talking about coilovers or slamming. After market, here's what you could have done:

TSW Linear Springs $229 (all 4)

H-Sport Rear Camber Links $240

H&R Front Swaybar $220

TSW 19mm Rear Adjustable Swaybar $189

Just shy of $880 in parts.

Gen 2's don't have a mushrooming problem

For additional frame rigidity:

TSW XBrace $389

NM Eng Billet Upper Tie Bar $299

After friday, this will be my setup. Sometime later this year I will pony up for Koni Yellow Sports but will be perfectly happy with OEM until then.

Not saying that your setup isn't nice...it is.
However, when when comparing like-for-like, the Koni yellows ($880 at Ways) added to the TSW springs and your front and rear sway bars you are more than the JCW suspension...~$1500 in parts. The JCW suspension is a pretty good deal.

True, but I'm back from Way's and loving it! A little oops though... Waiting till clutch time for the front sway bar.

Gotta read the whole line. I'm not quite where I wanna be. Car is seriously tight though!

I'm getting the suspension installed tomorrow. My RSB is currently on the middle setting, should I put it to the stiffest so I can maintain the neutral to slightly oversteering feel considering I'm adding in the big JCW FSB?

Thank you!

I would suggest that you change only one thing at a time; keep it on the middle setting and see how the car changes with just the JCW suspension. The stiffer springs of the JCW suspension will increase the overall roll stiffness and possibly the front to rear stiffness. With that and the stiffer shock, the car may actually have less oversteer than you would get if you had put in just the front bar. If you don't like it, then change the setting on the bar, which is easy to do.

Sorry, I didn't look at the date of your last post...How did it go? What setting did you choose?
