Lol. One more thing. Search the gallery for a color wheel combo like yours and salivate over theirs lol. Even pm them and ask for more pics . That's what I did.

This is like waiting for Santa to come ...

Based on the recent experiences of several people around here, I'm not sure there are any hard-and-fast rules right now about what gets done when. From what I've been able to find out (and I can't vouch that this is 100% true), it's because Oxford is in the build-out phase on the 2013 Hardtop (allocations are done), the preproduction line is running for 2014s and manufacturing equipment for the 2014s is starting to be installed.

My JCW rocketed through the ordering, scheduling and production processes (only 10 days), so I started to think I'd have the car in 4 or 5 weeks. Then it sat at Oxford for more than 3 weeks. Every couple of days, I called 866-ASK-MINI and was told that there were no trouble codes, that this kind of thing happens all the time and that they would have been able to tell me if there was a problem like the car being held to fit a missing part. When my car finally got transported to the port, it got bounced off the original ship it was booked on and rebooked on one 4 days later. The ship arrived in Baltimore early, and it took less than 10 hours to get the car off the boat, through the VDC and on a truck. I expect delivery sometime this week - still within the 6-8 weeks the dealer said it would take - so I really can't complain.

You are probably dead right about the factory tuning up for the F56. So glad I ordered when I did as very likely the R56 platform is nearing it's end very, VERY soon.

That was a long time to wait for transport ! But yes, overall time will turn out to be pretty reasonable.

Looking forward to seeing your MINI !!
