Ordering JCW - Any Must Have Options?
Greetings,
Been a lurker for a while. I am getting ready to place an order for a JCW and wanted to check with those who have a Mini if there are any MUST HAVE options. Anything to avoid?
I'm not crazy about the JCW wheels, so any other options or aftermarket suggestions are very much welcomed.
Thank you in advance!

Storage Package, HK radio.
The storage package includes the flat load floor, a way to tilt the rear seats, rear lighter socket, secondary driver's side sunvisor, a cargo net in the passenger floorwell.
see videos here:

The base radio is pretty terrible.
Don't get a sunroof until you've driven one on a sunny day. It makes the car like a terrarium and the sun shade is useless. Motoring Stripes sells a big roof sticker, "sunroof delete kit," that's advertised on White Roof Radio that could make it pleasant. I think I would go that route.
Try a car with the NAV, the armrest in both the down and up position, some people find it in the way. There is a question if you can order an armrest delete from the factory.
It's unclear to me if bluetooth audio is standard on the 2016, it is not standard in 2015, you need to order a package with enhanced bluetooth. It may be standard in some countries in 2016.
Aftermarket.
I've seen the news of car pile-ups in the fog from California, if that affects you, and if you can't order the rear foglight, you may be able to retrofit it with a replacement switch panel and some coding, ECS knows!
If you don't get an armrest with the phone mount, you can get the Cravenspeed flex mount or the MINI Click & Drive to hold your phone. I'm not sure if you can order the Click & Drive from the factory, I got mine from ECS.

+1 Forgot about the storage package and I would do the autodim again. H/K sounds very good.
For the rear fog lights on the JCW model there are there stock just not coded ( turned on ) and again you will need the switch panel. If you dont order rear fog lights, you can do the mod with the switch panel and coding.

OK, two cent time. I will say that it is a matter preference and although JCWs in the showroom are rarer then rocking horse ****, any MINI Cooper S with stuff added will give you a sense of what it is like. Go down to your showroom (if you haven't already) and take a look at the options in a car. That said, these are what "I" think are musts:
Wired Upgrade (includes the LCD screen, Nav, Bluetooth, blah, blah)
Storage Package
HK Upgrade
The rest of the packages and add-ons are personal preference. You can add enough to push the JCW over $40000.
As for aftermarket stuff - There are plenty of sites on the Interwebs selling all manor of stuff. The NM wheels are very nice as a change from the MINI supplied stuff. Bonus besides the looks is the reduction in unsprung weight. Here are a few of the best known aftermarket sites:
http://www.outmotoring.com
http://www.nm-eng.com/home.aspx
http://www.waymotorworks.com
http://www.cravenspeed.com/categories/MINI/
https://www.ecstuning.com/
There are more, but I think of what I have seen people buy here have been from the above.
