Intake for jcw

I have a 09 jcw and looking into an intake for it. I've been looking at two different types the ram air with the shroud directing air flow from the scoop and the just open filter kind. What do you guys prefer which will show the best gain?

Intakes don't do anything for performance. They are just for sound. I have the DOS (Defender of Speed) intake but the company is no longer in business.

On my 2013 JCW I use a DDM race intake that is completely sealed & works very well. Will be adding an M7 Vortex to this setup in the very near future.
Great sound & seat of pants power increase.

If you're looking for HP gains you won't find it in Intakes. No matter how expensive the intake is you won't see big gains in intakes. I'll sell you any of them you want, but not gonna lie to make the sale.

If you want an intake for sound go cheap, but even with the fancy scoops you won't get intake temps down enough to show power gains. I personally run the JCW intake on my car.

If you want power look at intercoolers as they cool the air after it exits the turbo so you will see real gains in them.
