JCW Help identifying a part number

Help identifying a part number
So my new JCW has a total of under 400 miles on it. As I'm walking up to it from the front yesterday, I notice this rubber piece hanging down on the driver's side. I have looked but cannot find the part description or number for this piece. Can someone please help me? I'm just going to order and replace it as I doubt it will be covered by warranty. Don't know what could have caused this. I have not hit anything, parking curbs included. I included shots of the passenger side as well. Also, while I was on the ground I noticed that this passenger side inlet is blocked while the driver's side is not. From the pictures that I pulled up online this is normal. Kind of scared me for a second. Thanks.

I did look at realoem but didn't seem to be able to find the exact part. This piece seems to be flat and attaches in about 3 or 4 places underneath. I'm tempted just to remove it and see if there's a part number molded into it. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

I would tend to agree since mine took a hit in under 400 miles. Still don't know what caused it because I didn't hear or feel anything hit the under carriage of the car.

What the heck is this piece for anyway? I can't tell what it is supposedly protecting.

Seems to be separate part in film however it's presently considered a part that comes with the fender liner. Considering how many of these are either broken or missing from Countryman models, wont be long before they have a separate part no.
Looks like they list for $82.00 per side.

(I hear ya'll on the parking lot curbs, but that was not the case here.)

I would not even try to get this covered under warranty. I'm just trying to find the part number and replace it myself. Figured if I took it in to the dealer they would tell me that I had to purchase the entire front clip to replace this one small part. Think I'll just remove the piece and see if there is a number molded into it.

I was afraid that this piece would have to be purchased as part of an "assembly". You've got to be kidding me. This definitely needs to have a separate part number seeing how fragile it is. Could get expensive replacing it every time it takes a "hit". Oh my.

That actually looks like the Black band spoiler. $42 http://parts.miniofkennesaw.com/show...sembly=1096857

1oo% correct. I could gain another 1 inch front ground clearance if I shaved them off my GP front bumper...Even using Race Ramps, they still hit. They act as a front spoiler to reduce wind pressure to front tires for aerodynamics.

But I could be wrong. Just looks similar based off the pic.

Reduces and deflects wind pressures against front tires especially at high speeds improving aerodynamics, front tire adhesion and increased MPG.

That is for the cars *Extra "AMOeK" cooling module that resides in the location vacated by the left fog light. This is why the JCW can't have front fog lights.

I'm going to try and remove the part in question this weekend and see exactly what shape it is. That will allow me to look at the diagrams and match it up.
I noticed on my wife's '12 MCS that there is a larger piece that hangs down in front of the wheels. I'm still trying to figure out what caused this damage. Must have been a rock or something that hit just right and I didn't hear or feel when it happened. Oh well. The only way these things remain pristine is if you don't drive them.

Looks like also only part of the fender liner. Can you see a separation seam on the inside of the fender well ?

Those are the parts! So, the answer is don't lower your car if you care to keep those deflectors & your tires planted at 150mph! Ha! Or, add the front splitters & cut those dudes off! ;-)

Yep, saw that, sometimes they pop up down the road in the parts system as a separate part if they have a seam. Here is for hoping.
