MINI hasn't sent any notifications. I know mine finished production on March 4th. That means they're building them and shipping right away.

Interesting that MINI includes a NAV package, especially since most car owners these days prefer using their cell phones for this purpose. Kind of like still ordering a CD player option.
So, I'm guessing that with dealer fees and tax the real total is somewhere between $49 and $50K. Did the dealerships cut you guys any slack when pre-ordering these cars?

A few have popped up on instagram.

I like this one and would be stoked to see one at my local grocer!

And,
as a side note I noticed someone did a squashed caricature of the GP3 and I thought it looked neat as it echoes the stubby bull-doggedness of Frank Stephenson's original design.

I'm a little baffled by the first photo as I always thought BMW transported their new vehicles in soft-side, enclosed carriers. Did they not extend this practice to the MINI's?

The number plate on the transporter looks like a European number plate.

Thanks. My GP3 is due to be delivered next week but that might be doubtful now due to the closure of the Mini factory from the 23rd March for 4 weeks.

If it was due to be delivered next week, it seems that would mean the car is finished and it on the boat... Yes???? Maybe you will still get it??? Sorry I don’t remember back to when I order 2 of our MINIs as to when they finished and when they got on the boat... Wish I could be more help...

Oops, my bad...

No, that wouldn’t be good.

Still, if delivery is supposed to be next week, it seems that it should be getting done this week and, if it is, maybe they will ship it before the end of the week. Well, here’s to wishful thinking for you...

Yeah - announced earlier that the plant is closing for at least a full month due to the virus - winding down to a full stop this friday 20th.

The Brum hams hall plant up the road makes all 3 and 4 cylinder engines for MINI and BMW

What a shame that those of you waiting on your GP3 have to deal with the Global Pandemic! The new GP is looking pretty good overall from what I see, but I'm still baffled why MINI couldn't have designed a proper rear diffuser for the GP3. Good luck to those of you who are anxiously waiting!

The muffler goes across the back blocking any rise need for a diffuser (I know you know that). They probably didn’t want to design a new exhaust system for it and have to certify it for noise requirements just for a one-off car. Or maybe they thought the wing did it all? I have the JCWPro diffuser and I think it looks much better than what the GP has, even so.

I agree (and yes I knew that ), and we just have to assume there was a good reason beyond $ to not have a proper diffuser. Heck, the stock rear of my 2015 Midnight Black JCW looks better than the GP3 imo! There's a very low mileage 2013 GP2 on Bat right now that, honestly, looks better than the GP3 at this point. I really don't know if I could poney up the change to buy one, even though it is fast. I do like the concept generally, and I'm sure they will be unique to see on the roadways, but maybe I'm getting too old...they just are not doing it for me at this point. Time will tell I suppose. Still, I'm wishing all those who ordered one all the best!

Just been informed by my dealer that my GP3 has been delayed due to the closure of the mini factory. I was due to pick it up next week. They said it could with them by mid to late April although that date could change.

Sorry to here that.

it is understandable, though. You’ll get eventually. Take care and stay healthy so you can enjoy it when it does come.

Just when I'm getting ready to take delivery of the MINI I've always dreamed about, the world ends. FML.

Seems to be the first video of someone in the UK who actually got one. Not a lot of detail, but it's a start I supposed. He did swap out the GP3 steering wheel for a different one, though:

And another video where the normal dash has been replaced with the digital LCD dash on a regular (it seems) F56S:

I wonder if that new screen will be available as a retrofit. I hated the tach in my '19JCW. And I also thought the screen on top of the dash was a piece of junk. This new screen puts everything in front of you. You don't have to look at two screens.

I want that! I too hate the useless tach in my JCW...

I love the looks of the GP screen.

I ordered the chrono pack with my JCW and other than the useless lap timer I like it. I tried for awhile to find a tach to fit where the lap timer is, but after a search and the difficulties involved abandoned that project. Either go with the heads up display on the windscreen or an analog system would be my preference. However, with the current pandemic and the endless delays I most likely will cancel my order and move on. I am not a fan of digital displays, just too old I suppose. The tach on my JCW is essentially useless, I play it by ear.

I've never cared for the tach placement on the F56 JCW either! Whoever designed that certainly hasn't ever been a race car driver, drag racer, or even an enthusiast, that's for certain. Heck the tach should be in the center as it's more important than the speedometer anyway, especially if you have a 6-speed manual! Well, dang, I believe I may have just solved the mystery! MINI wasn't real fond of the manual transmission anyway, so relying on a tach for shift points wasn't much of a consideration it appears! Mystery solved! Remember the Sun Tachs Dan?....I had one on my '55 Chevy and my '67 Chevelle Super Sport (L78). Sorry to see you cancel your order after all this effort and waiting, but things happen for a reason. Many of us have some changes to face as the result of the current state of disarray! All the Best!

translation:This offer applies to the pre-order of a GP3 cockpit / display. It is to be expected that there will only be a limited number of displays at the beginning! So, PRE-ORDER! The display must be coded. The use of additional parts may be possible.

That is NOT a GP3 they have that shown on as it has a HUD and HK upgrade which neither are available on GP3.
