Congrats!

And hopefully consider posting your GP2 on NAM here too. I am sure there are MINI enthusiasts here who would appreciate the opportunity to have it...

Congrats!
They are rolling in...
I like that camera angle...

Need driving impressions!

And, have you signed up for MOTD? ...
My guess is that, if it opens up this year, there will be a bunch of GP3s there.

Getting out of my GP2 and into this, the GP3 is _fast_. I didn't push it too hard, but it feels fast. Not just fast for a mini but fast overall. I recently drove a PDK Cayman GTS and it feels similar in terms of acceleration; it's not but it feels that way. The transmission feels great, it's fast, holds the gear you want and is very engaging. Not as many pops and gargles as the GP2 but I wonder if that'll change once it breaks in a bit.

I write up something a bit less disjointed at some point

For those of you who have your GP3's: Does it come with a GP3 specific manual? Or is it a more generic manual?

Initial impressions having come from a 2016 JCW manual:
- Very firm suspension. Takes some getting used to but there is a stronger sense of precision and grip than in the normal JCW.
- Acceleration is epic. Much more effortless as compared to the JCW. Torque steer more of an issue during hard acceleration.
- Automatic gearbox seems well suited to the car. That was the biggest issue for me vs. the JCW. I wish I could have both cars! But I don't mind the auto.
- Instrumentation and Carplay is a big advance forward vs. the 2016 car.
- Car has great visual presence. Much more so in person than in pictures.
- Sound is deep and throaty. Kind of miss the pops from the JCW (esp. with the AWE exhaust) but the GP sounds good. Hoping it will open up a bit more as the car is broken in.

As the cars come to the customers, the pimping starts. The whole body kit is under evaluation, on the F56 we can cross-check, and I can tell you the front spoiler is a bargain for any aero bumper.

How is the automatic when it is in “automatic” mode?

I recently drove a Countryman and even in sport mode the auto was hesitant/reluctant to downshift all the way to the lowest available gear when asked to. With partial throttle applications, it would readily down shift one or 2 gears. But when asked to do more than that, it took a big squeeze of the throttle (to the floor in one case). That was not to my liking.

And it fits up to the regular F56 wheel well flares? And is this any different from the JCW front aero pieces?

Turns out my dealership has one of these babies in stock. Not mine, it's already spoken for. I was able to go down and take a look at it and really, even unwashed and with most of the transportation covering on it, this thing is freaking awesome!

A couple notes:
- My dealership is getting 11
- I'm 4th on the list
- They still maintain that all GP3's (at least in the US) will be built in June.

Seriously, I can't wait!

If somebody likes to see and hear a competent judgment.
You find an 11 min video inside. It's noteworthy that MINI gave AMS a non-touring version, with nonstandard performance tires! What else ?

My Dealer is getting 7 and am on 4th spot. He thinks July or Aug delivery. In the meantime, found this Youtube Video of the Guy who won 001 GP3. His 3.01 video is very creative

I sure hope your dealer is correct about the U.S. builds for June!

Interesting - I had not heard anything about this and this is my Dealer, just a few miles down the road from me. Now I understand why Keeler had 0001 at their place.

This is a lucky guy. 0001 will be worth keeping and keeping in nice shape.

I want to see someone have their big plastic wheel arches painted body color. The car looks great except for that. I'd actually like to have that done to my car if I could find someone in Phoenix to do it.

Price...........

Anybody has been able to deal below MSRP? The sales person told me he has to add $3,000 for preparation and delivery fees over the $45K. Just thought it was a joke LOL
