Before Christan Gebhardt will put the sticker on the GP3, you can wait and read the latest road and track test. Alexander Bernt AutoBild Sportscar 8/2020
Interestingly, because they have been driven out lap times on their house circuit the Sachsenring, same drivers, all kinds of F56, all interesting hatchbacks and now the GP3

Megane RS Trophy R. 1:37:57. 80,000
Dynamic F56 JCW 1:37:88. 47,500
MINI JCW GP3. 1:38:48. 45,000
MINI JCW AT. 1:45:23. 42,000

Test notes
- Test car GP3 without Touring Pack. Timing on preheated tires
- Sportcars has the car timed with 4.9 sec/100Km/h: that's FWD world record anyhow, and one sec faster than any super tuned F56. So are the brakes they outclass all, including the Megane RS Trophy R.

- Semi slicks 36125A1AB28 cost 2,712 Euros must be with original rims. They fit perfectly into the rear boot. Offers from the dealer! Whether they even know about it I doubt and if they will tell you the optimum temperature ( anything under 80, not Fahrenheit, is girlish) and pressure window 1.9 - 2.6 ?
Its MINI tradition, to have odd size wheels on their GP`s, instead of mounting 235 or 245 they chose a 300 Euro MINI exclusive Hankook 235/35/18. But that is good news for the few. The few? Yes, Autobild confirms only 41 cars out of the 3000 are "race" versions, and those will use for the future business, not these self-restricting handcuffs.

A real happening seems to be automatic, you should keep in mind that this has been massively reinforced when it comes to cooling. A comparatively large heat exchanger makes it possible. In the new M2 CS Racing standard automatic works, and that for long-distance VLR races!
From me 10 out of 10 anyhow

For your viewing enjoyment....

Thrashing the GP3 around the ‘Ring...

And by the looks of it, he is using the Automatic as an automatic...

And a bit of grip in those tires. 1.2+ on a lot of corners. However, that is from a semi-slick. I see 1.1g with 205-50x15 RE71R on my R56. Not sure the Hankook semi’s are worth the cost for anyone but the top drivers.

A comment that has been posted to that video thought that the shock were soft... again

I do want to know what they are using for brake pads on that thing. I saw 1g+ slow downs and I have driven enough on the track to know that it takes only one or two of those to cook a set of stock pads. And how many times did he do that in an 8 min run...

Moron!

Scratch 0226 From the list of GP3s....

it is amazing how strong these little cars are, though.

Oh, that’s nothing. It will rub out, easily...

Not yet. I probably won't know until it's either at the port in LA or at my dealership. Weird thing, though: The track my mini page only updated today with "In Transit", but the boat left the dock 6 days ago. Weird.

When I ordered my F56 JCW it was at sea for over a month due to storms and other issues. The wait was agonizing.

Well, maybe he can sell it to POG!

I hope not. Based on what I have seen of POG, he seems to be more about what kind of stupid thing he can get away with to get attention. Like the GP3 or not, he doesn’t deserve a second shot at destroying another one.

To GP3 owner/s: How different is the steering vs, a F56? Does the steering wheel have any play at all? For Ref. (if possible) does it feel like a Porsche or Alfa Giulia, linear, instant with no center spot? Does it have old school visceral "road feel"? If you drove a F56 with an aftermarket sway bar that would be the best comparison, when I installed the front sway bar my steering tightened up a lot over stock. Thanks.

Is that what they're charging for a new GP3?? Tell me it isn't please! I figure it should be about what I paid for my car: ($45k). I get more interior goodies, a back seat, a sunroof, etc, and the GP gets the spoiler, wheel arches, probably better tires. I'm guessing there's no discounting the GP3 either unlike my car.

My dealership is charging me msrp, so $45,750 after destination. I think they are leaving a few thousand on the table. Assuming someone still asks 10% off his asking price, I think that's about where they are right now. This might be due to the lag in production, and it's likely to drop when we find out there are a few new ones available. However, right now, there is no indication the cars are not being purchased by those that reserved them, hence the price. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah I hear ya, same asking price as mine. I got about 10% off MSRP on mine. Initially he said no way they could do that but I sent him a link Mini of San Diego with the same car I bought that was discounted so they matched it.

I think I am not alone with the position that I will walk away from the deal if they try and gouge me. I do want the GP3, but not enough to tolerate opportunism. There are other fun cars out there that are fun mobiles as well. I am impatiently waiting for notification from my dealer when anything is forthcoming from mini on order.

Maybe the person is thinking of making a quick $10k. That is a post on a Ferrari forum... Just sayin’, it could picked up by someone who doesn’t know the MINI market... ????

Thumbs up Check out Autrader

There are several 2021 MINI GP3's listed at dealers throughout the USA.....one at Main Line MINI about 50 miles from me in Philly. One in Miami, one in Detroit, etc. VIN's are listed so these are not generic ads! Get a plane ticket Dan and drive it home to KY!
