I too was wondering about this. I agree that even though it's really not needed because I have an auto (wife), it still would get me closer to the "rally" feel I'd like to turn my car towards. Also, (obviously) I don't have the JCW pak, but the PDF seems to indicate that it'll work with a MCS, does anyone know for sure?

there are two ways to do this firstly follow the diagram on this thread
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=34950
from MiniPilo it is for the SAFC but shows the rpm signal,
secondly fit the autometer tach adapter to the red positive wire going to the coilpack thats the black unit on top of your engine that the spark plug leads come from. the autometer has a grey wire for a clean tach signal and a wiring diagram its that simple.

Wow!

That's some pretty cool looking stuff! A little more than I would like, but I do have some lottery tickets laying around that I haven't checked yet. If any of 'em hit, I'll get another Mini & all this stuff!

looking at the pdf does not give colors of the wires to splice into, just plug locations. I bought the Raptor to and mounted it between the tach and speedo with the Nav system. Very small, any color and very cool. Before I get into the electronics, I was wondering if anyone could give me the colors ??

The last page of the PDF explains the colors on the part itself. As for the other wires to splice into

So I'll ask again because I haven't found any photos does anyone have pics of what the JCW shiftlight looks like installed? The only photo of this I have seen is the MINI sales shot, I was wonder how it looked and what those who have been using it think of it.

I could not find much information about it either. Here is a video that I found on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUVu8jbLqkc. It shows the JCW Shift Light while driving down the road. It is right after the section with the exhaust of the MC and MCS. I am still trying to decide whether I want one or not.

Hope that helps.
