Description:
Up for sale is my 2005 MINI Cooper S (R53).
I've owned the car for just over 2 years now when I bought it with just over 80,000 miles. The previous owner was a BMWCCA member who maintained it highly. I'm an R53 enthusiast, I currently own three of them, two of which are track/race cars. It is free of a check engine light for any code.
To be completely transparent, during my ownership, I've driven this car. It has been to a couple HPDEs and has been taken on countless road trips. I purchased a dedicated track/race car to not put unnecessary wear on this clean car. In the last photo, you can see the car in the snow, which it goes great with the winter tires. The car is washed once a week with an undercarriage wash during the winter to mitigate salt damage.
Over the summer of 2020, I took this from CT to Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Canada, Cape Cod, and back to CT. During my ownership, it's been meticulously maintained. In the photos below, you can see it in our shop on the lift.
The British Racing Green paint is in great shape for its age. You can see the close-up photos of the paint correction on it last spring. The paint is sealed with a Hybrid Ceramic coating.
The car will be sold with the roof rack. The roof box and bike carrier are extra if you would like them. It comes with both sets of wheels. The winter tires are in good condition and have a few more seasons on them. The summer wheels are wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy tires that have one more season of life left on them.
Specs/Upgrades:
-6spd Manual
-Completely stock engine (hard to find on the R53). This car has not had a reduction pulley installed, reducing wear on the supercharger and engine overall.
-Xenon headlights
-DDM Works airbox
-Racing Dynamix front strut brace
-Rear strut brace
-Alta silicone intake boots
-Eibach sway bars
-Poly engine mount
-Poly suspension bushings (rubber equivalent)
-New Hawk HPS pads
-New wheel studs (haven't yet installed them, I'm running lug bolts now. I was waiting until the wheel bearings need replacement)
-OEM in-roof roof rack mounts
-All-weather floor mats
-Bluetooth module installed into OEM radio
-Lightly tinted windows with a lifetime warranty on the tints
Recent Maintenance:
-Clutch replaced by the previous owner. It still grabs strong and doesn't slip.
-New O2 sensors
-New brake pads
-New strut mounts
-3000-4000 mile oil changes using LIQUI MOLY 5w-40, and CERATEC additive.
-Fresh transmission fluid
-Coolant flush
There's probably more I'm forgetting. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I have some spare parts I can toss in as well.
