ATTENTION - ATTENTION
While laying out a route to get to Saturday's starting point, I
noticed that my route would take me by Andrews Air Force Base.
While this is not a big deal on any other weekend, this weekend will
be different. Starting tomorrow 5/14/04 and going through Sunday
afternoon, 5/16/04, Andrews will holding the annual Armed Forces DAy
Air Show. This means that the traffic around Andrews will be
heavy, no, VERY HEAVY. This very well could affect anyone coming
from VA., if their route was going to take them down either Route 4
or Route 5.
This is just a little advanced notice about possible traffic
problems, just be prepared.

Ok all, the tour is over. To improve this tour(and other tours, in general), I (personally) would like to get feedback on the trip. fyi, you really can't hurt my feelings, so let the mustard fly. This kind of feedback will help improve runs that come in the future(ie, i promise to forward a digest of the feedback here), as well as this run if DC Metro decides to organize it next year.
Things like:
1. it was too fast.
2. it was too slow.
3. no bathroom breaks.
4. i want to kill the person you said there would be train tracks.
5. i want to slightly impact the person who took us down that last dirt road with a large sledge hammer.
6. there were too many rejoins.
7. i wanted more time in annapolis, but was in afraid to ask.
8. next, can we just end the run in annapolis and start the run further south.
9. the group leader has a lead foot, and needed to slow down some.
10. there were too many turns on/off of roads.
11. i wish the group was smaller.
12. I wanted more picture ops.
13. was it really necessary to go into downtown annapolis.
14. I saw an ice cream shop and wanted to stop.
15. i wanted to eat with the entire group, instead I ate alone with a bunch of drunk socialites.
16. I would like to run a couple of those roads TWICE so that I can enjoy the turns more.
17. someone told me there would be wine and cheese at the end.
18. I felt like we were being followed by a subaru
I dont expected everyone to agree, but if a majority of opinions ring true, then I(we) will look to address it in the future.

Gee, I think we were being followed by a Subaru. Who was that strange woman?
Grumbler - I think it was just pretty darn well done. More time in Annapolis would have been nice. Being able to see more of the Eastern Shore would have also been nice. But we can't have everything! I thought the re-grouping was well done and thought out. The run moved just fast enough. We were ACTUALLY ON TIME to the lunch stop!
