K24 swap into R53
#82
This might possibly be the best engine swap build I've ever seen.
Love every bit of information that you've been giving! I have an automatic MINI, would love to get a manual mini with a blown engine and attempt this swap, so many different options for the k-series of engines; with the lighter weight and the higher revs, this thing must be an absolute dream to drive.
what are your goals for the car? AutoX? or just something to say you have? lol
Much love!

I appreciate it. Thanks.
My goal is to just have a fast mini cooper that is all.

I'm desperate to make effective use of this huge piece of dead real estate, and you seem to have made good use of it. I'd like to duplicate and give you all the credit...

The turbo has just enough space where it sits right on top of the steering rack shield about 3-4 inches from touching it. The downpipe is a bit tight making it route to the exhaust. If you want a hood exit that is the easy way. It will route straight up towards the passenger side next to the abs pump.
