I am selling a new interior rear view mirror with the auto-dimming and Homelink remote buttons. I purchased it for a project with my Mini that I never pursued.

If you have a R55, R56 or R60 Mini with the "clown nose" manual dimming feature, or one without the three Homelink remote buttons, here is your chance to replace it with an auto-dimming electrochromatic mirror with the integrated remote control/garage door opener buttons.

The part number is 51169219374 and the mirror retails for $420 (you can get it for as low as $325 with forum and car club memberships at some dealerships.)

To replace your mirror you simply separate the mirror stalk cover. You then twist and slide the stalk off the mounting point and you replace your old mirror with this one after connecting a single wiring harness.

** I am informed by several folks on this forum that the mirror swap will only be plug-n-play if you already have the auto-dimming mirror as the male harness connector and wires will be present. If you have the manual dimming mirror you will need to acquire a three-wire retrofit kit from Mini to connect to the female wiring harness on this auto-dimming, Homelink mirror. Since I have received conflicting information on the plug-n-play nature of the mirror swap, I would spend the few minutes to remove your existing mirror to determine whether you have the male wiring harness connector already. **

I am asking $275 for the mirror shipped in the lower 48 states.
