Madness Ram Air Intake for the 2007-2013 MINI Cooper S, Clubman S. Roadster S, Cabrio S and JCW models. The Madness Ram Air intake system allows you to use the factory hood scoop to direct high pressure air into the intake. The hood scoop is purely cosmetic on the newest MINI Cooper's and our intake system allows you to turn it into something functional. Most people remember the muscle car days with their ram air scoops so the concept isn't new. Forcing more air into the intake system simple means more power. Expect to see power gains of 8-10 horsepower on a standard MINI Cooper S or Clubman S. More gains will be achieved with more modifications. The dual cone velocity stack filter accelerates airflow as well as increases filter surface area allowing the filter to flow better longer before cleaning. The filter comes pre oiled so no oiling is necessary before installation. When filter becomes dirty and needs to be cleaned, we sell an appropriate cleaning kit for this system. Installation is easy and should take no longer than 1 hr using simple hand tools.

These are good systems. Also, my findings dismiss the myth that the engine super heats the incoming charge as it flow through the ram. It actually stays very close to ambient at speed above 20 mph. Measured with temp sensors.
