Axle still seems pretty good- never any clicking or grinding, and quick inspection showed that joint is intact.
Might be worth picking up and just installing a new boot.

Right (passenger) side CV axle taken off R53 (manual). CV boot was torn, so I replaced entire axle with remanufactured component.
Axle still seems pretty good- never any clicking or grinding, and quick inspection showed that joint is intact.
Might be worth picking up and just installing a new boot.
