Alpine iPod/BT Radio + MFSW Control + Install Kit
Category: Navigation & Audio
Price: $175
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R52, R53
Location (Region): SoCal
Item Condition: Used
Selling my plug-and-play audio solution for MINI Cooper (non-nav), preferably with Multifunction Steering Wheel.
Sold my R53 so I deinstalled the kit. If you can undo 8 screws and unplug your factory radio's connectors, you can install this kit. Getting creative with the microphone placement might take slightly longer.
Will ship as is, but packed nicely so you can literally open the box, pull out the old radio and drop this one in with just some Torx head screwdrivers and no real electrical knowledge needed.
Controlled my ipod mini, iphone 4s, Samsung Galaxy S3, and Samsung Galaxy S5, including streaming Bluetooth audio with the phone functions.
I have all the original instruction manuals if you want to reprogram the steering wheel controls.
I don't want to break up the kit, but will if there's no response for the first few weeks.

If you have the factory HK speakers and bypassed the amp you won't find any regular head units that will successfully run these without overheating and possibly burning up. The speakers aren't the same as the standard (boost) audio found in the non HK systems. Also, the speakers need a crossover to keep the highs from playing lows and vice-versa. This was all done internally in the HK amp. If you need a new amp there are several posts on here for HK amps in the last 6 months. Otherwise, I would look for a good 4 channel amp and a set of component speakers for the front. The rear 6x9's will be ok since you can wire them 3 ohm.
