Post R56 Custom Muffler Delete Pipe

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56
Location (Region): SoCal
Item Condition: Used

Had a custom muffler delete made for my R56 with hangers but removed it before selling the vehicle. Simple install that only requires cutting the muffler off and welding this section on. It has slashed tips similar to the JCW and the tips are also resonated to reduce some of the drone. This system is loud though but some of the best sound I have heard on a Mini. Always got compliments with this section installed and the pops are amazing in sport mode if you also have your resonator removed. Fills in rear bumper perfectly.
Can do local pickup in SoCal or ship anywhere in the US.

Same diameter as OEM Cooper S piping so 1.75". This will work with any stock piping for the Cooper S or aftermarket that uses a similar diameter. The tips are 3.5" so a big improvement over stock.

The pipe connects to the Y section of the OEM exhaust system just before the muffler. I have attached a image so you can see where I am talking about. To install this custom pipe, you would basically cut just before the muffler and weld the pipe to the Y section. Any exhaust place can do it for you for about $40.

Isn't stock diameter piping 2.25? Not 1.75? Can you take a picture with a tape measure or ruler across the piping...?

Here's the requested picture. It's the exact same diameter as the OEM R56 Cooper S piping.

How's the drone when you're cruising? Do you have a video of what it sounds like?

Not too bad actually. I had both the resonator deleted and this section put on and it was fine cruising around 70 on the freeway. Only really gets loud when you reach about 3-4K rpm. The tips are resonated too so it helps with drone.

Never filmed it personally but here's a video of exactly what it sounds like!
