I have no financial interest in this sale, but I wanted to say that the OP is not bulshitting when it comes to these wheels transforming the car. I have a set dedicated to track days, and when combined with the right rubber, they are beastly. Good luck with the sale.

thanks for the bump!

You're welcome! Here's my 2 cents worth for you...dismount the tires! Spend the $40 or so and sell them separately; you'll likely come out ahead even after the expense of dismounting them...again, good luck with the sale.

I saw your post to the other guy regarding putting them on an 05. I also have an 05 MCS (Vert). I take it the 13 TPMS sensors are different which is why you said they won't pair? I'm no tire expert but could you take your existing TPMS sensors and swap out? Or they physically won't fit? Curious, as I am interested in the wheels. I live about 100 miles from you so it wouldn't be impossible to pick up or meet somewhere midway. Thanks!

According to this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...al-device.html, these wheels should work fine on a first gen because they don’t use sensors in the tires. They use the wheel speed sensor for the ABS/traction control to determine if one wheel is spinning faster due to the smaller circumference of the tire because of lower air pressure.
You can leave the sensor inside the tire or switch them for regular valve stems.

I have an 06 MCS and their are no TPMS sensors inside the wheels. If you buy the wheels, take out the sensors and sell them as they are just extra rotational weight adding to your wheel weight.
Also, I have the same wheels Enkei PF01, and they are great wheels only using a stock metal valve stem that came with the wheels.
As far as proof about the TPMS, contact Mini, Tire Rack or Way Motor works to confirm.

So basically you're saying there is no TPMS sensor in a pre 2007 Mini, and it's all rotational based in a "gen 1" system? Interesting. So anyone with an 06 or before can buy any wheels and never need any TPMS sensors correct? Other than that thread, is there verification somewhere of that which is a more reliable/official source?
As far as going by year it gets confusing because of the R52’s going to 2008. Also some early 2007 R56’s supposedly use the same no sensor system. I’m not sure what the cutoff was, but it was something short like the first 6 months or so. I think ECS Tuning was who posted the info and could probably clear things up.
For my 2005 I did what MiniKar suggested. My used wheels were from an R56 so I had the sensors replaced with regular stems and the wheels rebalanced. Once all 4 were mounted and had the pressures set, I reset my monitor for the new wheels. I’m just trying to figure out how to make sure the sensors are working before I sell them.

TPMS on the wheels itself did not come into play until ~2008. Early R56's from 2007-~2008 still used wheel speed sensors like the gen 1 MINIs.

Thanks, verified that there are 2 different offsets you can buy for this wheel. 45mm is for MCS and 38mm is for JCW with BBK.

If you paid that much for this set, you were ripped off.... This set new with the replacement Michelin PILOT SPORT A/S 3+ tires from Tire Rack is $1598.32 https://www.tirerack.com/cart/HoldingArea.jsp
That said, a used set, no warranty or road hazzard, with buyer bearing brunt of possible run out issues due to pot hole = $800.00 max for this set. Just sayin...

Yes, but his tires are the Pilot Super Sport summer tires, not the A/S.
Current price on TireRack is $1917 with TPMS (or about 1650 without, but you'd still need an old set to swap in). Having said that, asking price is still a little high for tires with half their useable tread left.
I have the +45 Enkei with 215/45/17 Pilot Sport 4S tires on my 2009 JCW Clubman now
and there's plenty of room for the JCW brake calipers. I didn't want the extra 7 mm of poke (12 mm if you count the wider tires).

If you want to come and **** on the price without making an offer, do everyone in the forum a favor and go back to trolling Reddit

That being said, I believe your system is wheel speed based instead of sensor based like the others said, so it wouldn't impact it.

Where are you located? I can investigate the cost of shipping and maybe we can work something out.
