This is was in 2008 R52 Mini Cooper S Convertible JCW transmission.Only 39,000 miles. It had a slight grind in 2nd gear and also in third (but a different noise/grind). I finally replaced the trans with a new one. I had to swap the LSD. So, this one does not have LSD inside. I think it might have loose linkage or something. Of course, it could be syncros, but I really don't know. It did go into gear fine. No metal inside or on the magnet. I hope someone can use for core, parts or repair.
