The Magnaflow is not technically a full cat back exhaust, since it keeps the stock second cat, and slips onto the existing mid-pipe.

That's exactly it.
Personally, I would go with the Magnaflow, since they use quality packing in their mufflers and resonators. Makes for a deep sound without being too loud, and still being free flowing enough for performance. I've had 3 different vehicles with Magnaflow systems, and have been 100% satisfied with each one.

Maganflow also has a very tight pricing advertisement model, in that their suppliers can only advertise a certain dollar amount, or they risk losing their agreement. You can usually find some deals, but you have to make phone calls and emails to find them.

The Magnaflow is basically just two rear mufflers and a Y pipe, doesn't connect to the downpipe like a full exh. That is why I don't feel they are worth it. And frankly after the last 3 warranty claims I've had to file on failed Magnaflow products I wouldn't want to recommend it.
