Windshields - Where?

Looking for some advice on reputable locations to have a windshield replaced, somewhere that actually knows how to properly do a windshield on a MINI. I've been seriously considering Guardian Auto Glass in Broomfield, I've heard they're top notch when it comes to OEM spec procedures for windshield replacements. I've also thought of Elite, but I really don't know where to find the techs that know how to do a MINI properly....suggestions?

Elite here in North Longmont has done both of our MINIs, our 04 and 07. I even had them get the OEM one from Schomp. They told me that there are two windshields for the 1st gen MINI, the OEM one that has the MINI logo on it, expensive, and the same manufacture windshield with out the MINI logo, affordable. They have done the 04 twice, and the 07 once. Schomp does replacements too BTW. Now for the 2nd gen like yours I don't know.

Check with Schomp, they might cut you a deal on your 10 MCS, they are good to MINI5280 folks.

I used them to replace my 07s windshield. They did a great job.

Thanks guys. I'd drive to north Longmont if I had to, just to know who works on it knows what they're doing (Elite). I already priced Schomp, they quoted me $450, and I'm not sure if my insurance will pick that tab up under my comp. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I can personally vouch for Schomp. They've done a great job all 3 times and they do it in house.

I've had excellent service from Elite Auto Glass. My location in particular was Littleton (S Wadsworth/W Quincy, near Walmart). 3 replacements on 05 MCS, others on my truck and previous vehicles. On the MCS one year ago, they warned me about the plastic A-pillars being fragile. They cracked one and ordered a replacement (I came in a few days later) at no cost to me. Cost was $413 (less my insurance deducible). I have the sensor on the windshield for the intermittent wipers, which is part of the high cost. Free chip repair too (covered by most insurances).

I would ditto that on Schomp. They've treated me great even though I bought my MINI over on the western slope. When you pay too much, you lose a little money. When you pay too little, you might lose it all...
