Help Identifying a part

Does anyone know what the part going into the firewall below the orange sticker is? I replaced the T-stat housing last night and noticed that the part in question was not seated and I couldn't, for the life of me, get it to seat properly. Anyone know what it is and how to get it to seat properly?

Thanks!

That is the noisemaker... I think. Right? The tee off of the air on the cold side of the intake (after intercooler) to the intake manifold. The pip goes to a diaphragm in the firewall to give more cabin noises for the driver's pleasure.

Sweet, nothing I need to worry about then. Thanks!

I would not worry about the noise maker, some folks even delete it, a lot of places have kits to make it a clean delete.

Yes, a bit dirty, mine too. A task for this week. I think.

I did this mod for removing the pipe all together as documented here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...er-delete.html

I left the firewall vent open. I don't notice any performance difference and a little less noise maybe.
