The Bad:
- The MINI developed some tight steering and a slight clicking noise on acceleration/deceleration. I took it into a shop to get the issue inspected and to get the whole car looked over prior to selling it; shop says that the steering rack is on its way out and that the serpentine belt tensioner is showing signs of wear. Despite this, the MINI still drives and handles very well.
- Passenger side rear tire has a slow air leak (at a rate of about 2 psi a week). Had a shop re-mount and balance the tire, but it still leaks air at the same rate as before.
- The coilover adjustment perches are stuck on a couple of the coilovers; maybe a shop will be able to loosen up and lubricate the perches.
- On occasion (5%-10% of the time), after turning off the MINI after it has been driven for a while and is still hot, if starting it up soon afterwards, it chatters a little as if the timing chain tensioner piston doesn't fully engage. Immediately turning the MINI off and then back on normally makes everything okay. It's been doing this every so often for the past couple years after the cylinder head was replaced, and it hasn't caused any obvious performance or driveability issues.
I am selling my MINI for $4,900 O.B.O., cash only. I am located in Colorado Springs, CO. I have the clean title in hand. If interested, please PM me or give me a call at six-one-zero-762-two-seven-two-seven. The photos really don't do this MINI justice; it is best to see for yourself how fantastic, beautiful, and fun this little car is.
For additional photos, check out my craigslist ad, PM me, or give me a call.

Thanks! The big red button by the mirror adjustment switch is hooked up to the intercooler sprayer. The other red button mounted on the inside of the left downtube is for controlling the on-board computer. The button for the Hella driving lights is mounted on the driver side knee bolster to the left of the steering wheel.
