22k miles on the EB 2002 JCW - $36k for the 2006 GP. We're talking about 2 different cars.

Not much ROI 🤣
37k is still MUCH less than it was bought for 15 years ago ... not a true ‘ collector’ yet ... in terms of ‘investment’
I hope they drive it !!

A little riced out, but pretty damn nice... And wheels are cool too.

Sincerely curious what ‘rices our’ means with this car ?? 🤷♂️
Looks pretty nice, it’s a shame it’s riced out a little bit. Wheels are a good size (17x8 et35). Too bad they are pretty cheap wheels and would be a pain to clean lol. Might not be a bad buy if you don’t mind the cheaper aftermarket parts.

I guess it’s not that bad. I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at it since it is super clean. Those seats look brand new! He definitely made it a lot better than it was when he bought it. It looks like there’s a little bit of white overspray inside when the hatch is open. I’m sure a clay bar would probably remove it. Definitely not a car for me since I’m not a fan of white roofs and I would have to replace most of the aftermarket parts with better quality parts. Depending on the price though it could be a really good buy for someone.

Maybe remove the tail lights, fill em with candy, use them for piñatas. The rest can be brought back to more stock with original take offs. Shame what he did to the top of the shock towers though, but what the hell, it’s not a Ferrari.
I think the leatherette seats holds up pretty well if it’s not a DD in cold climates, which is why they start cracking, and downhill from there.

Most people “trim” the shock towers when installing Coilovers to have access to the camber plates. If it’s done right, you would hardly even notice. That has to be the worst job I’ve ever seen. It could be fixed though with some metal, a welder....and a lot of time and patience lol.

It would have looked 100,000x better if he used something like this:

I almost bought that car last summer. If you add up all the performance goodies installed professionally, it’s was crazy money. Wanted it bad but didn’t want to take a chance with the low compression and rust. Think it was maybe $7500 then, will probably do better on BAT, for a good cause too. BAT is cranking out the MINIS.
It's physically about as far away as can be from me. It will be fun to watch the bidding on this one.

That is cool and I hope it does well.
Just looking at it and noticed something familiar --- how the valve cover appears to have a crack in it:
It is not a crack and does not go all the way through, it's only superficial on the surface.
Something must've got in the mold or whatever and apparently they were passed by quality control and there was likely a rather large batch made like that.
I've only came across one JCW in a junkyard and it was a late 2004 build with that run of valve covers:

2008 Mini Cooper S R52 Sidewalk Edition
105k miles, $7900
Not sure if the Sidewalk Edition is much more desirable than a typical R52 S but figured I'd post in case anyone is looking for one.

Amazingly, there are many that think “super” and “turbo” are the same lol. A dealership near me had a r53 supercharged advertised as turbo. They actually thought it was a turbo, when I told them it was supercharged, they grinned and thought it suddenly changed into a valuable super car haha. Don’t think they really knew what a supercharger is or the difference to a turbo.
