Those good woods are really nice rides... N18 power/reliability.... super cool paint and interior.

I like them as much as the JCW's !

I do get the draw... prefer the Blue ones though.

It looks to be in decent shape and un-molested .

I like that it doesn't have the Aero Package on it... Looks better IMO.

Yeah I can see why some don’t like the aero bumpers, but the skirts really bring the car down lower, it’s the only part of the kit that really makes a big difference aesthetically.

I hear ya... and agree... painted MCS side skirts...look awesome on these R53's and DO bring the car to a nice profile ... I prefer them to the 'Aero' skirts with the fake rear brake ducts. The Aero Rear bumper looks like a complete afterthought to me... IMO. Dealer installed 'bolt ons' that have received a lot of hype, again... IMO.

Talking

Seems we lost Krawz.... He must have found that unicorn 53 he was looking for... though this one checks most of his boxes.

Hey! I’m still here! Haha. I did buy a r56 JCW with Recaros though. I’m still looking to buy a unicorn r53 or another 2013 JCW with Recaros. Two minis isn’t enough 🤦‍♂️

Congrats on adding to your stable, lol.

Curious -- how hard is it to find an R56 with Recaros? I've never shopped the R56.

Thanks!

I’m going to say it’s a lot harder to find a JCW with Recaros than finding any other mini. Maybe finding a WC50 would be harder (even though I’ve seen two for sale in the past few months). GP1s and GP2s are relatively easy to find nowadays on BaT. R53 JCWs aren’t that difficult to find, it’s just tough finding them with super low miles, in excellent shape and with the right options. It would be interesting to hear other people’s opinions.

The JCW I found was unfortunately in Idaho (complete opposite side of the country lol). It has some rare options but didn’t have Recaro seats. Luckily I was able to buy a set of Recaros to put in it.

You already have three minis in your stable! Lol. I don’t blame you though. I’m still looking after buying another.

Sounds like a nice find! Any pics/specs/mileage of the car you found -- especially showing those coveted seats?

This one looks like the find of the week to me ... don’t let the ‘smoke & mirrors’ of no dealer-installed ‘Aero kit’ dissuade ...
