I know this is going to be long, but please read the entire message as there is A LOT of information for those interested! While this is a DC Metro MINIs event, it is open to ALL MINI owners.

The ship departs Southampton England, September 11, 2004 arriving in New York 6 days later.

Diane Mason of the Cruise Planner will be handling all the details. Any and ALL questions concerning the Cruise can be answered by contacting her directly.

So will it be 1 or 2 people to load the mini in through the balcony stateroom?

This sounds like a fun trip.

Just a reminder, if we don't get deposits for 7 cabins by August 20th we can't guarantee this rate after the 20th. You can still book after the 20th but the rate may go up!!!

I've spoken with Diane at The Cruise Planner, Cunard Cruise Lines has extended the deadline until September 12th on the current rates. You now have until the 12th to get your deposits in.

Remember, you don't need the full amount up front, final payment is due 90 days prior to sailing. You can only guarantee this rate if you get your deposit in by September 12.

Right now we have 2 cabins reserved (including mine). Once we have 8 total we are considered a bona-fide group by Cunard. At this point Cunard will offer us special events onboard (like private cocktail hours) and other group perks. The more cabins we have, the more they will offer us.

You don't need to be a member of DC Metro MINI's to come either!!

For more information call Diane at 888-202-4136 or clickhere!

THERE'S STILL ROOM!!!!

That's right, there's still room on the September 11 QM2 Trans-Atlantic cruise!

For those of you that missed it this morning on the Today Show, the ship looks FANTASTIC!!!

Even if your just remotely thinking about coming, call Diane at 888-202-4136 and request a brochure, it's free and you won't get any sales pressure...

According to the Today show this morning, this ship is booked solid for the next 2 years. You're very lucky if you can actually get on this ship. It looks beautiful!

NOOOOO, the maiden voyage has been booked for the last 2 years. Quite a few of the sailings still have plenty of room on them.

LAST CALL!!!!

Just spoke to Diane at The Cruise Planner, the QM2 is turning out to be extremely popular!!! This means that cabins are selling out on ALL of the remaining sailings for 2004. Cunard has decided that will only honor the rates posted above until FRIDAY 2-14!!!!

If you are considering going, you must book by FRIDAY!!!

How many signed up thus far? If one were to sign up by Friday I assume the quoted rates are still applicable? Thanks!

The quoted rates are only good until Friday. After that they go up dramatically. However, all you need to do to lock in the rate is to make your deposit. Full payment isn't due until June

We have 3 cabins booked at this time

Some cool factoids from the Cunard website:

QM2 is five times longer than Cunard's first ship, Britannia (230 ft.)

QM2 is 113 feet longer than the original Queen Mary

QM2 is more than twice as long as the Washington Monument is tall (550 ft.)

QM2 is 147 feet longer than the Eiffel Tower is tall (984 ft.)

QM2 is more than 3 ½ times as long as Westminster Tower (Big Ben) is high (310 ft.)

QM2 is only 117 feet shorter than the Empire State Building is tall (1248 ft.)

QM2 is more than three times as long as St. Paul's Cathedral is tall (366 ft.)

QM2 is as long as 41 double-decker London buses (31 ½ ft. each)

QM2's whistle will be audible for 10 miles
