How to chk if BMW have updated/reflashed ECU?

Hi All,

I have MTH Tunner file in my car, is there any way to check whether BMW have updated or reflashed the car ECU beside asking them? Anyone?

Thank you very much.

You will notice the change in throttle response. Just hit the rev limit to be sure.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. How much is the rev limit for BMW ECU and MTH ECU? Going to test it out later...

Thanks again

MTh flash

Using the MTH software, compare the ECU programing to any of your MTH files.

BMW ECU for MCS is ~6750 RPM
MTH ECU for MCS is ~7200 RPM

If you have a JCW MCS, I believe they bump the redline to ~7k RPM. Not sure what the values for an MC are, but I do know it's lower than the values for the MCS.

Oh yeah, I haven't tried that yet. Has anyone tried to put the stock file back on?

Wrong!

6950 RPM is for MCS!
