man I love the VPA b222, I saw it when Alpine introduced it at CES. I was planning on using this in my MINI but eneded up buying one without the Nav. Still might do it though as it is an awsome piece. Keep me updated if you end up using it.

yeah man i definetly want to go with the alpine unit the shop iam getting it done at is doing a mini right now with that same unit. He put an 8 inch lcd where the stock radio is and moved the A/C and switches down. Looks great but i wanted to go with more of a factory look but I guess thats gonna be hard since iam gonna have to switch out the wiring harness and get the nav instrument cluster and bezel.

MAke sure he does it right the A/C control unit and Air Vent is located right behind the A/C controls. I had to trim a lot of excess material and make a custom metal arm to move the vent control unit down about 3 inches. As for an 8 inch screen im curious to see how that is gunna fit with out tearing apart your air duct. the most we were able to get in was a 6.5. possible the most a 7". Good Luck and please post pictures when its finished. Also make sure all ur
A/C controls work before leaving the place.
