Anyone shave their antenna?

I'm looking for any info on solutions for shaving my antenna.

I'm sure there's a hole or three under the antenna fin that would have to be filled. I'm not too worried about that...

I've been trying to find "Hidden Antenna" solutions on the internet and haven't come up with anything too usefull.

I imagine that dropping the headliner would reveal the existing antenna cable which I'm hoping could be plugged into, or spliced into, an extension. I'd like to mount a small antenna on the inside of the boot glass or possibly on one of the rear quarter windows. I've seen both box style antenna and horizontally mounted antennas that seem like they would do the trick... if they actually work.

If any of you have any experience with these types of antennas on a MINI or any other vehicle, please let me know.

Thanks!

Mike

See that little piece of plastic with vents in it hanging down in the back? Pull that off and you'll see the antenna mount.
I'm sure you can find a glass mounted adhesive antenna to replace the original if you look around.
