Okay, I'm getting an XM SkyFi and possibly an Ipod. I figured out how I will connect the SkiFi to the stock cd player (using the MINI aux input kit). I want to have a clean install that will not require the use of the cigarette lighter to power the SkyFi unit, but haven't found a way to connect the power cable of the SkyFi unit to a powersource (other than the cigarette lighter)in the car?
Thanks for any help you can give!

Since you have to pull the headunit to attach the Aux cable, it would be best to tap into the power source for the radio for power to your SkyFi unit. I am sure the SkyFi does not use a great deal of current so it should be within the capabilities of the head unit power source.

I do not know which particular wires are involved, but that can be found in other threads here or on MINI2.

Good luck!
