Navigation & Audio Subwoofer... for the H/K
#2
It's possible to connector speaker level from one of the rear H/K speaker coils to an amp. You'll still be subject to the processing inside the H/K amp, but more than one person has done it successfully.

I did this with a JL stealthbox and a Rockord Fosgate Punch 360.2 amplifer (older model, got it on ebay for $80). It has a high level (speaker) input and works fantastic. I used shankrabbit's diy, which also has a link to gbmini's site which has the h/k amp connector diagram.

Having high level inputs directly to the amp really simplifies the install, but you could easily include a converter. Using the diy instructions and the connector diagram, it was the easiest sub install I have done to any of my cars with an OEM radio. Props to shankrabbit and gbmini for posting these.
BTW, I tapped the high level input signals directly from the existing h/k amp output cables, which i got from the connector diagram. I didn't replace the stock speakers, so I wanted to avoid removing any additional panels.
