The roof leaked in my 2004 Mini the other day when we had a terrible storm. When I got in my car the next morning I had at least an inch of water in all the cup holders and water still leaking from the rearview mirror. This was the first time this had ever happened so I think there is something broken up there. (any hints on this would be great too) In addition, the radio will not work anymore. The CD player is fine but when I turn on the radio there is no sound and it won't find/stay on any stations. This makes for a boring ride without the Sirius. Any suggestions or should I just take it to the dealer? I checked both of the fuses and they are working.

You need to pull the radio out and open it up so it can dry out. If you are lucky nothing was fried. Moisture is shorting something in the radio circuit.

 

If you have a sunroof there are drain tubes that go down the A pillars. These can get plugged or disconnected and cause water leaks. For more information, do a search - quite a few folks have had issues with them. Good luck with the radio and the leak.
