New iPhone adapter, need guidance
Bought the KUDA dash mount (above/left of the center speedo) and the Carcomm CMIC-102 cradle. Problem is the cradle come with a cable with a mini-DIN adapter split into a cig lighter adapter and RCA jacks (L/R/Video). This generates three questions.
For power it also comes with an in-line fuse with cheesy instructions on cutting off the cig lighter adapter and attaching the fuse holder and mounting into the car. If I want ignition-on power only (don't want to accidentally drain the battery), where would somebody recommend I tap in for power?
For sound, I figure the easy solution would be to buy a stereo y-adapter to convert the RCA jacks into a 1/8" jack and plug that into the aux port (probably pull it out of the console and connect them behind the dash somewhere). Is that gonna work? Is there a better way?

I bought the y-adapter and it works, but I'm having second thoughts about the whole thing. First, the dash KUDA mount holds the iphone fairly high...without actually mounting it (so I can return if I decide to do so) I can't tell how much view it will block (windshield and/or Speedo).
It should get a good GPS signal though which is why I went that way in the first place.
Second, the cable coming out from under the dock is not as flexible as I had hoped; I'm not sure if I can bend it enough to go under the trim and keep from blocking the speedo.
Looking for alternate ideas or solutions to this one.
Thanks
