Your HU is Aux-input ready. You need an OEM aux input cable - plugs into the back of the stereo, then can either be mounted or left free floating.

Alternatively, if you have steering wheel radio controls or would like to be able to access playlists on your iPod using the head unit preset buttons, you could get the MINI iPod adapter cable. It plugs into the head unit where the CD changer would normally plug in, so your 2004 would support it.

If it says "Hardan Kardon" or "Harmon Kardon" on the speaker, you will have a fake one.

In addition to saying "Harman Kardon" on the speakers like Eric says, you should have the amp either in the passenger side rear panel, visible when you open the little flap (R53) or under the passenger seat (R52).
Also, your HU will have in the settings the values Mini H/K, Electronic, Festival, Spatial, Instrumental , after Bass/Treble etc.
